I found more photos of Natalia carrying her Pauline Haut. I adore the discreet letter 'M' design on the luggage tag. So quietly whispering...M O Y N A T...

MOYNAT Vintage Catalogue
Featured here is a cover from Moynat's 1929 catalogue. It's quite fascinating for me to see the beginnings of the automobile industry. Nowadays we take for granted the trunks in our car. But as one can see from the illustration above, it wasn't always so. Imagine the design that went into each piece of luggage in order for them to fit like a puzzle. Not only that, but you had to take into consideration what traveler's brought with them at that time. I'm pretty sure the complimentary suitcases weren't by accident. So the next time you pack for a road trip and you stuff your things into your car, think of this ad. Maybe you would wish you had four Moynat trunks for your journey.

UPDATE from Maison Moynat
Dear Francis,
Here are the lastest photos of your bag.
We have been developing this week a blue that we feel is loyal to your idea and attached is our submission.
Would you please confirm that you are ok with this color? Thank you.
In this age when the new generation of movie goers enjoy the benefits of 3D technology, I am fascinated still with how Moynat does their initials. The grey shadows add that special illusion and, if I may say, 'magic' to the letters which I have the audacity to proclaim as being truly and only MOYNAT.

MOYNAT Personalization
I was delighted today when Maison Moynat sent me photos of my custom order in progress. To actually see the artisan meticulously painting my initials by hand on the 'M' canvas was a happiness that I did not expect. Merci beaucoup!
